We are actively involved in training doctors who wish to specialise in general practice. These doctors, known as GP registrars, have worked in hospitals prior to deciding to choose a career in general practice. They are fully qualified doctors but getting specialised training to become a GP. Initially they may be sitting in with other doctors before running surgeries themselves. Registrars may be with us anything from 6 - 12 months.
We are also a training practice for Foundation Year 2 doctors and medical students.
We are participating in the NHS led research through PCRN (Primary Care Research Network). If suitable, you will be asked by doctors or nurses to participate in these trials. It's not compulsory to sign up but we appreciate your help, as it will not only benefit you, but will help to improve treatment/diagnosis across the NHS (worldwide in some instances).
